Default Going to get a netbook. Suggestions

Hi, as I'm going to university I thought as an excuse I'd buy myself a nice new netbook. I will be taking my power desktop down with me, but for labs, lectures and cafes I thought a lightweight netbook that can stick in my backpack would be ideal.

Ideally 250GB, 1GB RAM, windows 7, longest battery life available and an decent CPU (probably have to be the atom - no less than 1.66GHz I think - but the more powerful the better -will switch to AMD), wireless connectivity (all wireless N now?). webcam and bluebooth would be cool

Don't really want to spend more than 300. Lower price as possible really (just over 200 squid would be cool).

Any ideas?

Thanks
Thomas

EDIT: I'm from the UK

Thomas

ahhh now I'm not sure whether to get a dual core? Problem is most dual core nbs have bigger screens. I want something light and portable

What to get?

well lets take a look
thats a compairison between the two processors
which i am now confused why you are trying to decide between the 2
as both of the netbooks that you have listed both use the N450 atom
but oh well

With regards to the Atom CPU architecture, I wasn't explicitly meaning the two I posted previously, though I can see why you'd think that. Silly me. Sorry
Ahhhh. The http://www.ebuyer.com/product/186600
would be perfect if only it had draft-n wireless. Though am I going to notice the difference?

EDIT: I think I want the best bang for my buck with

Atom 450 1.66GHz
1GB RAM
250 GB HDD
Wireless N
Bluetooth
10.1" Screen
Weight < 1.5kg
8 hours battery life
Cam
Microphone
Nice touchpad with gestures - DO ALL TOUCHPADS DO GESTURING AS STANDARD?

I'm not fussed about windows 7 anymore

There must be something under 300
Thanks
Thomas

will you notice a difference in-between N and G?
that all depends
if you connecting to a slow connection then no
actually even if you connecting to a faster connection N doesnt hit peak
the only time it maxes out is if your streaming 1080P quality movies to your netbook
then you will notice a difference
but no
your best choice as it seems is the N450, the one that you linked
you could always do a little homework and look into upgrading your Wifi at the cost of your warranty and the new part
then its just a matter of installing the drivers for the new hardware and not think about the warranty
or you can wait until the warranty has expired then upgrade it yourself

MSI Wind U160 for 350 is the cheapest on newegg.com
MSI product page
as far as i can see it doesnt have any gestures, but it hits all of your other requirements except for the budget.
man this isnt easy
Gateway
now with this one it has gestures, but no Bluetooth and its alos 350 squids
so you have to choose
bluetooth or gestures
personally i would go with the extra hardware and forget the apple ideas
but those are what i found
here is the search on tigerdirect.com

EDIT: not all of them have gestures
