Give the dirty basics about routers!

Linksys makes really good routers, too bad they look butt ugly.

As for those new draft-N routers, wait until the technology becomes widespread before adopting it. No use in getting technology that doesn't work everywhere.

Becides, I'm sure 802.11g is fast enough.

routers are fine for gaming. people always suggest going wired if your a gamer though, but depends how serious you are. you should consider getting a wireless n router as the speed is much better and the overall quality is better.
id get a usb adapter if i were you. they do the job perfectly fine and dont involve any messing about.

For gaming, going wired is much much better than wireless.

Thanks for the info guys I went and got the WRT54GS the one with speedbooster and got a Linksys PCi card with speedbooster. Got it up and runing very fast, already tried CS:S and I play smooth

I have one of those here at the hotel. Nice little router. Check at Radio Shack for the high gain antennas. $9.95 a set. However I use DLink cards in my desk rigs. But the hotel has linksys on the brain. One usb and one pci. Seems to work ok.
