getting rid of "new programes installed" pop up

ok so when you install a new progam and you click on the start menu a balon says "new programs installed. it really annoys me so if anyone knows how to disable it can you plz post thx

i think like right click on the start bar, go to properties,start menu, customized, advanced, uncheck it.

lol, when I read this thread, I did the same thing, but there doesnt seem to be such an option...

The option appears to be there for me, but yeah i have to agree that stupid pop up is annoying so i turned it off.

The option is called "highlight newly installed programs", go to your properties, start menu, customize, advanced then clear the checkmark beside it.
