I think AMD changed their policy on HSF. It used to be that all Athlon 64 X2 BE processors did not come with HSFs. That seems to have changed with the introduction of the Phenom release.

What would? A Triple core is more than enough for gaming and he isn't a huge overclocker.

Thanks Rohan. But I still like this combo a little more because it's a Phenom II X3 720 BE and a better looking motherboard in my opinion that's better rated and it only costs $227. I would like to learn to overclock some and the BE will be good for that. And with summer around the corner, I will have time to experiment.

they don't suck, they do exactly what they're supposed to do, they aren't intended for overclocking...
