Default Getting new hdd need help

k i want to get a new hdd for my really old comp. my uncle told me to go into the BIOS and see how many gb's my computer could actually use but i went in there and didnt know where to look, and i didnt want to screw up my computer so can someone tell me where to look to see if my comp has a limit or how big of a hard drive it can use? thnx

You will proabaly be OK with 20gb at worst, but at least 60 is preferable, no idea about you BIOS sorrey.
