I am not exactly sure its the ram but removing it until for a bit and putting it back in couldnt hurt.

I had to eventually format the hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows. Needless to say, I will never buy another epson
Something you might try is taking out the hard drive and putting into another computer atleast backing up the data and delete any file that has the name or a partial name of the camera you installed. Ex. Epson1276eaf.dll
If no sucess you may have to install the os again.
