Default Getting a laptop for school.

Can anyone recommend a good laptop for school that would cost about 650$?

This laptop would just be used for Microsoft office, internet and maybe a few songs.

No games or anything like that. If it has wireless internet that would be great along with bluetooth capability as well.

Thanks.

The lighter the better so the 14 inch sounds good.

Not many programs running at the same time. Like when I'll have word open I'll probably have firefox open too. So basically word and internet.

Operating System Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic

Networking 802.11b/g WLAN
Primary Battery 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Productivity Software Microsoft(R) Works Suite 2006 includes Word
TV & Entertainment Experience No TV Tuner w/remote control

alrighty, everything above runs $609, if you'll notice this comes with windows vista, since this is now out this is all you can get, unless you go to bestbuy or somewhere and get a copy of windows xp, and this does not come with microsoft office, only suite which does have ms word, hp doesnt have an option for ms office so i would recommend upgrading to office unless your only going to be using word. any questions let me know

you can also add bluetooth if you upgrade the wireless which was 20 bucks when I checked it.

Vista might be kinda slow on something like that, IDK. Maybe see if you can possibly get a core duo, or core 2 duo. Be a lot better I think. Or check out good 'ol ebay.
