Im trying to convince my parents to let me go a little over budget for my new system..i made a system with a 7800 GTX and it costs 1300..is that a good price..heres some specs

IF you can do 3 things for me..let me know if this is compatiable..if its a good price (1300 USD)...and how good of a system it will be..dont worry..ill be upgrading to 2 gig ram as soon as i get the extra cash..

Dont bump posts unless they fall off the first page....

Right your system is very good. If you want to get more out of your card you will need a better processor, but if theres a budget problem dont worry about it. Your system will be able to run most modern games on full blast, but the only thing which slows it down is the CPU. You might want to think about a cheaper card and better CPU. Its up to you

Alright..i lowered it to a evga 6800 gt and then when the price drops ill get the 7800 GTX...i upgraded the processor to an AMD Athlon 3500+

You will probably need to get a new PSU too. My RaidMax PSU that came with my case was not able to run my AMD 64 3200+. You will need one with at least 20A on the 12V rail.
