GeForce 7900GS or GeForce 8500GT

So I've just got a decent desktop better than my others and it came with a 8500GT 512MB GPU. Now I am thinking of putting a 7900GS 256MB in. Which should I go for, I've read that the 7900GS. is better than the 8500GT but want a second opinion.

Check this out from Tom's. If you can, I'd recommend the 9800GT its a great card! What's your specs?
