Default Gateway System CD Uses?

Hi there. I recently bought a new Gateway pc, and with it came a disc that is a copy of the Vista operating system already installed on the pc. My question is this: Is there any reason that I can not use this cd on another PC that I am building, to avoid having to buy another copy of Vista? I would install it on a new hard drive.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Usually it's a form of an image that makes it impossible or hard to install on any other hardware platform.

QFT, it's a Dell OEM Restore Disk and wont work on another pc.

You'll have to purchase a second operating system for your new pc.
