Wink Gateway Solo 9500

I have a Gateway Solo 9500 (obiviously) and I dont know why this is happening.

I can see the screen but the lights do not appear on the LCD. I have to acually hook it up to CRT to see the Desktop.

Anyone know why a LCD on a laptop wouldnt show the lights/screen?

Is there something I can do? Please provide instructions or some koind of website so I could fix this.. Thanks.

Anything is Appreciated!

It doesn't do anything when I press Fn LCD/CRT or The brightness up and Fn...

Nothing....
Any other suggestions?

I can see the screen but the light of the monitor is off.

my guess is that your monitor died on you. I suggest calling up Gateway and hope you're under warranty.

Nope this is an old laptop. So I doubt it... But I will call.

Any kind of way to see if there is something loose in there. How do I open it?

I may have a solo with a bad mobo, can't remember the model number off hand. I'll check tonight when I get home and let you know. It wouldn't require soldering to change it like stated above, but it would definitely require taking the laptop apart quite a bit.
