Default Gateway Laptop.

I have a Gateway Solo 9500, and the brightness on it is not working.. I've tried everything and the screen wont bright up. Can anyone tell me hwo to do it, and/or change the lightbulbs on a laptop?

do u have those hotkeys built in ure laptop? or ure trying to use the "fn" (function) key?
im also having those problems on my toshiba qosmio f20, haven't tried recovering it yet, maybe u should try to recover it with ure recovery disk, if u do so, pls post here if it worked

I know I set my brightness on my Dell in the BIOS.

Are you saying that the backlight won't light up, or you can't change the backlight intensity?

Typically, this means a bad backlight. If you are lucky your lappy won't require a new montior to replace the backlight.

Wait, what are you trying to say? Your backlight isn't working, or the monitor just simply isn't bright enough?
