Default Garage band for windows?

Is there anyway to get garage band to run on a windows machine? If not, what is the best windows alternative to it?

Nope, it's a mac application. Maybe Sony ACID, or CoolEdit..

Acid is the closest (however far far far from the best). Acid doesn't have the same kind of MIDI capabilities though, MIDI wise for a beginner best bet would probolly be fruity loops.

Cooledit Pro (Now Adobe audition) is a great program however it lacks alot when it comes to modern computer based music production.
