Gaming Problems After Reformatting

Well, I just reformated, and I've been having some problems while playing Counter-Strike: Source. Not only am I not getting not as high a framterate, but at certian places my computer will get literally about 5 FPS when looking at certian kinds of dynamic lights. I never experienced this before. I've tried a whole range of drivers, from the newest ones, to the ones my computer shipped with and soforth.

I bought my computer from Alienware, and I just wanted to know if there is anything they could have done with software or drivers that would have been erased by reformatting.
