Default Gaming PC-- Worth it?

Case:
Eagletech Sidewinder Gaming Tower Case

Power:

550 Watt

Processor:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6600

MoBo: (Iffy)
Asus P5N-E SLI nForce® 650i SLI Chipset w/6-channel CODEC, Gb LAN, S-ATA Raid, USB 2.0, IEEE-1394 Dual PCI-E MB

Memory:
2048MB [1024MB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400 Memory Module

Video Card:
Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB

Hard Drive:
320 GB HARD DRIVE [Serial-ATA-II, 3Gb, 7200 RPM, 16M Cache]

Drives:
18X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive
16x DVD-ROM Drive
Floppy

Sound:

3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard

OS:
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

Goodies:
Saitek Eclipse-II PK02U Gaming Keyboard
Blue Neon Case lighting
All comes prebuilt
IEEE-1394 Fire Wire Card

All of that, shipping included, comes down to:

USD $1,375.10

Is that a good deal? I've never built a PC before, and I want to go hardcore gaming. I'm afraid to damage something myself, so the price of it being prebuilt is worth it. Is there anything wrong with this PC?

umm its alright although im pretty sure u could get that for maybe $300 cheaper ?
well i reckon i could build it for bout £500.

1 thing i will say is dont buy it until the end of the month coz it SHUD drop in price coz the price of intels processors are dropping therefor the price of that SHUD drop.

i enthasize SHUD coz they might just be tight and keep the extra cash lol

Well, with it there is more room for upgrading, also it is good for overclocking.

Their warranty is amazing too. Basically you do anything to it, except pour water on it.

You could get a P965 chipset if you didn't want to spend as much. The P5B-E is pretty good, I have it.

What size monitor?? If it's 20"+, you'll probably want to upgrade to the 640MB version of the 8800GTS.
