Smile Gamin PC for $1200

Hello Guys,

I'm planning on building a gaming pc for $1200 FROM NEWEGG. I was wondering if you guys could supply a wish list without a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and other computer accessories. NOTE: I do not plan on buying 2 video cards, 1 is fine. Thx

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-196-_-Product Storm Scout case. I have it, it's awesome.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-115-_-Product 5850. You can flash it to a 5870 and get performance within 5% of the 5870 easily.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-225-_-Product Core i7 processor. Can go with a Phenom II if you will only be gaming, but the i7 is a better all around processor imo.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151088 Awesome powersupply, but it's admittedly overkill for what you're doing. It's ultra super mega quiet though. The fan doesn't even turn on if it's not needed.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231225 G.Skill ram. I have the same thing, but I have the dual channel kit. It does what it should, and works excellently, even for over clocking.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131359 Asus mobo. Not a bunch of frills, it should just work.

Comes out to around $1225. I can trim that down if you would like, I put this together on the fly so it's probably not the most efficient thing money wise. All that it needs are HDD's and optical drives.

C2Q Q9400 @ 3.2GHZ | Zalman 9900 LED HeatSink | Asus P5E3 Pro Motherboard | CM Storm Scout case | 1TB Caviar Black HDD | GTX760 4GB | 23" Acer [1920x1080] & 21.6" Asus [1920x1080] monitors

I dont know how much you want to spend on a computer case, but the Cooler Master HAF-932 case is a pretty sweet case, but it cost $169.99 i do know if that is out of your price range or not.

I'm a noob who's been looking to build at about that same price range. Before any taxes or shipping the list below comes in at $1187 and seems like a little bit of a horse. There might be a few bucks you could save on a lesser heatsink, especially if you don't plan to overclock. Also, the case is an above average case and you can find less expensive options. I know that Microcenter sells the Antec 300 for $50 and from there you can get whatever hard drive you choose(the drive I listed is part of a combo). If any of the regulars here see a flaw I hope they'll post it as I've started buying this parts list myself.

i7 930 at Microcenter: $200

Gigabyte GA-x58a-udr3 WITH Microsoft Windows 7 New Eggg Combo: $289

ASUS 5850 Card WITH 6GB OCZ DDR 3 Ram New Egg Combo: $495

Antec 900 Two Case WITH Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm 500 GB HDD New Egg Combo: $135

OCZ 600 W recertified PSU from SVC.com $39

Sony Optiarc DVD from New Egg: $19

Thermalright Venomous X Heatsink Plus Fan from Ewiz.com: $55

Total : $1187
