cod2 error: something like "unfixable error" at first screen after pressing the desktop shortcut

Try updating to the latest Direct X version, version 9:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx

Then try, but that chip inside that laptop isn't a very good one, so don't expect much from it what so ever in terms of gaming potential.

well i actually have the gma 900, but its all the same. CS:S should definately run on that, and call of duty 2 maybe. im really have no idea why it could be doing that. what are the other specs?
