Games minimizing?

Why are my games minimizing? sometimes whan im playing a games, e.g, CSS, it just minimizes to desktop, then i have to maximise to get it bakc up again, this also happens sometimes with some windows that i have open EG, i have firefox open, then the startmenu icon of FireFox goes off, like it is minimized, i then have to click on firefox again to make it "active"

this can happen if something pops up in the background. For example firewall warning etc. Happened to me quite a few times.

or your pressing the windows key by mistake...i do that a bit
