PC_ _ _ _ is the speed of the RAM and _ _ _MB is the amount, you should probably get more RAM (like 512 or 1GB)

You definitely need to upgrade your Ram as everyone mentioned. It is best to get the highest speed your motherboard can support but since you already have 256MB in there, I would just replace that with a single 1GB stick. What type of RAM does your motherboard support?

Yeah, it has to be compatible with your motherboard.

EDIT: Try this http://www.crucial.com/promo/index.a...C-5VR068282677

Not sure if it works or not, but my friend told me that

Get at least 512mb to satisfy most multimedia ventures. Get 1 gig if your really planning on doing some heavy lifting. Your graphics card should be fine. Try installing newer drivers to see some kind of performance boost. (Use the 6.3 Cataylst drivers, the 6.4's are unstable.)

How much ram do you currently have?
Why are you only getting 256mb?
