Hello, I am putting a computer together. I just bought a intel celeron with a 533mhz front side bus (FSB) and a Soyo motherboard. Along with this I bought 3200 DDR RAM.

The motherboard manual says that with a 533mhz FSB I need to use 2700 DDR RAM. Do I need to exchange my RAM or is 3200 DDR still ok to use with a 533mhz FSB?

yes you do, if it says you need pc2700 than thats what you need to put in, pc 3200 will not work. FYI, the front side bus deals with the processor, not the ram.

well, im pretty sure that 3200 is fine. The RAM will just run at pc2700 speeds.
