Default a friend wants to know...

if this will be sufficient to run Age of Empires III...?

video card

he's thinking of buying it, and he only has a pci slot available (no agp or pci-e)...

depends on the rest of his specs

but if you have to get a pci card, radeon 9250 is your answer

Well, yea it will run it. He'd be a little better off with either a FX5900 or maybe even a Geforce 6200 if his budget can afford one.

my radeon 9250 runs it on full at 1280x1024 with a p4 3ghz and 1gb of ram

Please don't run Age of Empires 3 on a PCI FX5200, I've tried it before on my old computer, same exact company too, PNY FX5200, it was very laggy, so the fun factor of game play deteriorated, please look for a better card if possible, the Radeon 9250 seems like the best bet.
