Default Freezing

I just installed another stick of ram into my computer (it was a 256 stick, 233mhz). There was a stick of 256 400mhz in it before, and it never froze. Can any1 tell me whats happening so i can fix it?

Thanks (before hand)

Make sure they're both running at the same speeds. Better to get two exact same RAM for maximum compatiblity.
