free sniffer program for an 802.11G router

my brother an i just resentaly baught a linksys wrt54g router and got it installed and working but we ran into a problem when we found out that windows did not recignize the wireless and let us search for other wireless connections. so if anyone knows where i can get a wireless sniffer program that will work with a router i would realy like to know what it is and where i can get it

Look for the network stumbler it has worked wonders for me....

its a router and network stumbler wont pick it up we need* something that will work with a wireless router
