free linux cd

does anyone know of any linux distributors that offer a free linux cd besides ubuntu? i mean free, not a free cd where you havve to pay shipping or anything.

i'm not the most familiar with linux but I do know knoppix is totally free and it is very good. I've used it in the past and it works great. Boots from cd.

Hey I am downloading Knoppix so after I do, I will burn it to a cd. I want to install it and use it, but I also wanna still have my windows os.

So will it go in the blue screen and I pick a new partion and do not delete the partion that is already there?

knoppix is a live cd distro. I'm not sure if you can actually install it or not, however i'm not the most familiar with linux.

I think the only Live, and installable version (at the same time) is Pc linux os

So I just say, boot from CD and it will load...thats it? but how would I do stuff and save it?

there are a ton of linux distros out there. Google is allways a good source!
