Hi all. I've been trying out some free graphics programs and thought I'd list some for others to see. Hope people find it useful :D

I found the following page that lists heaps of free image editors, which means that I don't have to ;)
http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/gmm/fwgraphicedit.html

Some others that aren't listed on that site are:

http://www.ultimatepaint.com/
Ultimate Paint, easy to use and powerful. Shareware, basic functions are unrestricted but more advanced ones restrict saving.

http://www.cursorarts.com/ca_imffw.html
Image Forge. Some people like it, some don't.

http://www.irfanview.com/
Good image viewing program. Very little editing capabilities, but has very good resizing/resampling functions.

http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/
Gale. The page is in Japanese and I've never actually used this program, but I've heard good things.

Enjoy!

Icon forge is OK. but it's not free it's time evaluated shareware.
Irfanview is possibly one of the best viewers in the world.

The best graphics editor money can't buy (cause it's free) it the GIMP (Grpahical Image manipulation Project).

It's an open source Linux program with windows ports that are also freely available.

technically it could be compared with paint shop pro for ease of use
and is comparable to Photoshop for flexiblity and export/save options.

the gimp is the best free one. cant belive it wasnt mentioned before. i used to have image forge but i found it had no special features and was a bit tacky

The GIMP is in the list of editors on the first site, and I figured there wasn't much point in repeating a listing. So there are a few that aren't listed in my post which should be given a look, including PhotoFiltre, The GIMP, Project Dogwaffle, Pixia etc.

a

:) Maybe, anyone care to live this fearfull life and send me an email about this. ;) ;)
I doubt it.
