Someway, you'll be able to format the drive
Though if its just for marketing, why did they not just give you a free CD with it all? Would be cheaper for them.

Great point...yeah i dont think they will lock anything on the drives we get !!

it wont be locked and to have everything on it they say its more than 32mb. I got a gb which i luv.

i don't either. They'd of given you a CD otherwise.

Though It'd be funny being Microsoft, that they went "Right, we'll give them USB drives because THATS the FUTURE".

I'm sure you'll be able to delete stuff off of it, and even if it is locked, these forums are full of very intelligent people and I'm sure they'll find a way (myself not included )!

Well, it's been a week since I ordered mine. Hopefully it'll get here soon. And then, I'll reformat it and use it for...well...I don't really know...

I'm going to bring mine to school and just fiddle with it during history class... i'll look so gangster, noone will even know to question how much memory it contains.
