Default Free Firewalls

Hello everyone I have McAfee total protection on my machine and it says that it stops hackers and seems to have a firewall, but it is unclear... do I need a free firewall as well or do more than one firewall working at once mess things up for each other?

What are the best free firewalls? I have heard alot of good things about Zonealarm.

So does McAfee Total Protection come with its own firewall?? Would it matter either way if it did and I started using Zonealarm as well?

a router firewall is probably the best as it doesnt require any resources from ur comp and is very effective.

I presume the McAfee firewall stops the windows firewall from functioning if it is the default firewall?
