Thumbs up Hope this helps

Do a search on google for AntiVir, it is the best rated free one you can get, I had Nortons Proffessional Internet Suite and Antivir picked up things that Nortons did not. It has a success rate of 77%

Since your using P2P, you should be able to get the anti-virus you want FREE!
If you want to check you system for free try this free online virus scan.

I can't think of a reason why AVG itself would stop you from geting on the internet. Unless maybe some critical system files were infected and AVG deleted them.
