I was looking to do some Graphic design and remebered a program from school called PRO/Desktop, well since those years PRO/Desktop has all but ceased to be, and has been replaced by its bigger brother PRO/Engineer, it's erfect and is just like i remembered, but it's aimed at companies making hundreds of millions a year, im lucky if i make a grand a year, so i was looking for an alternative, something not too complicated, with lots of features, a good online community, and most importanly, i'm lookng for it to be ....... Open Source, I used to use anim8or for small projects, but it's not built for CAD, its highest capability is a 3D eggplant, it's just not good enough, any tips????

Or any ways to get PRO/Engineer for free??

Take a look at 3dmax. Its supposed to be a really great 3d rendering program. I havn't downloaded it yet myself probally this week actually. Its not free but there are torrents hint hint. You can download it from there site on a 30day trial too.

yea pro desktop was quite useful a few yrs back when i started gcse. theres always ways to get it for free
