Default forgotten partitions

a while back I was expirmenting with linux a couple of times and then I decided to uninstall it and go back to windows. So I put windows back and now I just realized the disk capacity appeared to be about half what it's supposed to be! so I checked into it some more and discovered that some how I didn't delete linux right and there are two separate partitions still on the disk with linux on them. well, by this time I have accumulated some files on this partition with windows, and I'm running out of space. I need to know if I delete the other partitions will the available disk space automatically be added to the remaining one, or will it just sit there unused and will I have to reinstall windows on a new partition.
thanks.

Default Re: forgotten partitions

you will have to reformat the partions and they will show up as another mount.
