Default forcing drivers in windows xp?

I have a wireless card that xp isnt recognizing. I have the driver for it, but I can't seem to figure out how to force the driver install if windows isn't seeing my card.

Lil help here?

You always install the drivers first before connecting any hardware, that's how Windows recognises things.

Well, plug the device in, then, when windows asks, install the drivers. try different ports.
