Default Folder Options? Wha?

Is there a way to make it so that files align automatically or ,rather, lock into place. I had it set so that they would automatically drag and drop in perfect alignment but somehow it was altered.

Right click the folder background, and go to 'Arrange Icons'. You should be able to find out how to do what you want to from there.
