Folder arrangement when plugging laptop to docking station.

Hi all,

I have a small, but still very annoying problem:
When I plug my 12-inch laptop to a docking station---which is connected to a 22-inch screen---the positions of all my carefully arranged folders totally rearrange!!!
I think the problem has something to do with the change in screen resolution. I can't, however, myself fix this

Can anyone think of a way, so that the visual positions of all my files within the different folders remain in the same physical location when plugging my laptop to a docking station???

Info: I use Windows Vista

Yea, the change of resolution and screen size will definitely affect the positioning of your desktop items. Short of setting your laptop resolution to the same as the monitor's, I don't think there's much you can do.
