a dock (aka Port Replicator) lets you sit the laptop on a "base" and use it kinda like a desktop.. with all the ports and stuff... google it.. lol

it was already programmed when i got the laptop, it has the Fn button in light blue and all the buttons that it can use are also in light blue, if you want to do any of those things, i simply press the Fn button and the thing i want to do, for example if i want to find out the battery life i press Fn and F2 on my laptop.

try mabye reinstalling your keyboard, when i got my laptop i had to install the driver for my keyboard, mabye that will help
