Default floppy to USB conversion?!?

I need to convert a floppy disk to a usb. This is on an industrial machine (cnc mill). Since the operating environment is harsh(it's a machine shop after all), the floppies have short lives. I need to convert to a usb. I don't have access to the OS or any settings. Is there a simple cable conversion? I'm guessing it's not that simple. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.

Well if you mean using a USB flash drive then you can simply plug the flash drive into any open USB port and put the floppy in the drive and drag the files over to the flash drive. If i get what your saying, but I don't have any experience with CNC machines.
