Default Floppy Problems

Hey guys I am using a Dell Inspiron 8000 Laptop but having a problem with the floppy dirve. When I try to double click it in My Computer it gives me this error:

"The floppy disk controller reported an error that is not recognized by the floppy disk driver"

I think the floppy drive is in good shape and no cables are on backwards because this just happened all of a sudden. Any Ideas?

I am running Windows 2000

Have you tried re-installing the drives for it?

With an error like that, you probably just need to re instal the drivers. They have probably just gotten corrupt or something,

Hope this helps

Yeah, just try to reinstall the Driver. Not much you can try before you've tried that.
