Default Floppy cuasing Pausing

hi,

i having a lot of trouble with the computer i built, every time i have the Floppy drive connected the computer will just stop @ the system information page before it gets to the Bootup, some times will boot but then when i restart same thing all over again.

dose anyone have any idea ?

system Info:-

ASRock K7S41gx
512mb PC2700
DVD- ROM
80 Gig harddrive 8mb cache
1 standard Floppy drive

This is a long shot, But I think the floppy might be booting first. Go into your BIOS and check the boot order. Set your CD Drive to boot first, Not your floppy drive.

Maybe check and report back
i doubt it thou or it would say drive floppy not found when it boots up if the floppy drive is out worth a try tho

check in devise manager for a conflict error.

Agreed. Conflict on an IRQ can cause that. Also, make sure the legacy floppy has it OWN IRQ, or else.....
