hi guys i wonder if someone can help me, i have an acer laptop that is a few ....about 5 yrs old and according to a computer guy i know the motherboard has failed, he's tried booting it from cd,mem stick etc and it wont boot. what i want to know is would i be able to fit a new motherboard. the laptop is an acer 7735z board is 48.4cd01.021.
also if anyone can suggest where i might get one, i found one on ebay but it had to come from america

Hi!

The problem with laptops is that it's hard to swap a thing like a mobo. I suggest you talk to Acer support for tips on suitable mobos, and then take it to a service station or to that guy you know.
Then if anything goes wrong ? You are not to blaim.

eBay! Best way to have a replacement board.

However, it does not boot as in nothing on the screen? If you have text on the screen, there's a chance that the board is fine.
