First time building a pc,,,please help

OEM is the same product without the original box or documentation, and often has less of a warranty, if any, than the retail product.

I wouldn't reccomend buying an OEM motherboard or processor but an OEM hard drive and such is fine..

An OEM OS is absolutely fine..

http://www.oemdisks.biz/

Buy any OEM disks from there.. I have and its so cheap and wonderful.

Bundle Special #1:
Microsoft Windows XP Pro +
Microsoft Office XP Pro

$89.95

Its really awesome.. and thats what I did. ;)

If you want just XP, only 70 bucks.. :)

It updates.. its the same as having a real retail product, just without the warranty of the product, and instructional manual.. which you don't need anyway.

k cool, also newegg is a bit cheaper :)

One other question, do you know if the windows media center edition is like pro with some other stuff added or home with some stuff added?

i was just wondering for possable futre upgrade.

EDIT: oops i dident mean the OS was cheeper i ment newegg was cheeper on the hardware than tigerdirect
