First time building my own computer

Hi, Im new to this site, I am going to be building my own computer for the first time and im no computer whiz. I know the different parts I need and have most of them already.

AMD Athon 64 3000 processor
512mb DDR Ram
DVD / CD-R / CD-RW Combo Drive
Geforce FX 5200 128mb ram
and the most important part: Floppy a: Drive

Is this a good gaming PC? I will eventually upgrade to 1gb ram.
I want to build a killer gaming PC that will run doom 3. (I know I will probably need a better video card)

Also what is the best website out there to learn how to put the damn thing together lol?

That video card is absolutely horribelw. Your motherboard is the most important though.

ok thx, where can i get help on putting it together, what wires go where? lol!
Coming off the power supply is ton of wires and dont know where they go...
