Default First Time Build / Component Compatibility? Help.

Hello,
Im looking to take a leap and build my own computer for the first time using top components. Any advice, tips, criticisms would be appreciated.
I need to know if the list below will work together. Am I missing anything? Have I chosen something that is really not needed?
I am a photographer and deal with mass amounts of phots, videos, music etc. I also want to play games occasionally, or watch a DVD.
I haven't decided on what kind of monitor yet or a mouse or keyboard. I am pretty close to budget. I'll spend around 2400 or so. I am starting from scratch, bringing no parts from other places. All new.

How does this combination stack up? Thank you in advance for any help to the above questions and your time.

A few things in my opinion, case, don't really need a full tower, it's just big and takes up space. Go with antec 300 illusion, highly rated and favored. I'd also go wig a 550ti sli configuration or 670 ftw as you deal with intense graphics. I would also go with the p77 pro instead of deluxe because the deluxe has some issues. Also, going for 16gb ram is futureproofing, but going 32 is extreme overkill. Running every cs5 and adobe will go to about 7 gigs. This is my opinion. I would get a 16gb corsair vengeance as it is a company that stuck around for a VERY Lon time.

Also, a h60 or h40 works just as well as the thermo 2.0.

Also, your mobo can't support 2400 unless it's OC.

1200 watts is overkill. Just get a kingwin laser 1000w is good enough.

Anytime, I used to consider the deluxe for my bro, but after a few hours of dual team research, we finally settled on 2 mobo. I wanted the sabertooth z77, and he wanted the z77-v pro. He finally won because it had built in wifi, as the cable has and will have been bitten by my dogs. I will continue to help you more. ;D

Default Re: First Time Build / Component Compatibility? Help.

This would be my build with 2.4k without periferals, like mouse keyboard, etc.

Case NZXT Phantom, fits your water cooler. Also what I have, very good, sturdy, and only case i know that fits h100 because its a fking double 120mm cooler. $120
Newegg.com - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK Black Steel / Plastic Enthusiast ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Storage Western Cavier Green as storage, because green is more quiet, and this thing that slows the rpm down when not in use for 8 seconds, this usually isn't for main drive, but for storage, so its good for you. ;] $120
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Green WD20EARX 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Video Card Sli 670FTW because you are a photographer, and FTW is the top of the costumer line brand. Also, since you have a large budget, you have the ability to do it. $400 each, $800 total
Newegg.com - EVGA 02G-P4-2678-KR GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Power Cooler master silent pro because its silent, its great, its efficient, and its what my brother has, excpet his is the 700 watt series. $155
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER Silent Pro RSA00-AMBAJ3-US 1000W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.92 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Memory Corsair Vengeance because its trusted and used, and 2133 because you need the speed, and 32gb because you are a photographer and deals with lots of photoes which need memory. $350
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4A2133C10

Mobo p8z77-v Pro because its great and its what my brother has, and it has no trouble whatsoever. $215
Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

CPUi7 ivybridge, self-explanatory as this iswhat we agree on. $400
Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K

Cooler H100 because its a trusted water cooler and since you are doing hardcore photos it need lots of processes, and that equals lots of cooling. $110
Newegg.com - CORSAIR H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Optical drive $60
Newegg.com - LG Black 14X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 12X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA BDXL Blu-ray Burner,3D Play Back (WH14NS40) - Blu-Ray Burners

SSD OCZ Vertex 3, 120 gb because its fast, its reliable*after fixing BSOD[also known as blue screen of death, which i fixed, and it went from hell to heaven]* $100
Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex 3 VTX3-25SAT3-120G 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Total would be 369.89.

that is without a total of $60 b uck mail in rebate.
