Default first spec/build

I was specing a comp for my friend (not a very big budget but decent)
and it was my first time tell me if i overlooked any parts and such

I would get a socket 939 mobo and cpu, in the future itll be more upgradeable.

I would recommend the Asus K8N-E Deluxe motherboard.

Don't bother with 939. The processors available for it are far more expensive.

Socket 939 supported processor? You can try this one.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+, 512KB L2 Cache, Socket 939 64-bit Processor - Retail

That's the one I'm getting until I upgrade to dual core processing in two years. It is pricey but Socket 939 processors are capable of higher data bandwidth then Socket 754 processors and also support dual channel memory controllers.
