I have changed up some things a taken advice and i just want a little more feedback on how this build is looking since it is my first.
This is not for gaming and it is a budget system for my parents who just browse the web.
Budget: $300 excluding the OS

For my LG drive do i have to buy anything separate since it does not come with anything like sata cable or installation cd?

Is my mobo upgradeable in the future as long as i change the processor and memory?

Do I need anything else to finish the build could i finish it with everyhting i have shown a link for without having problems?

OR Should I just buy a dell

Any feedback is appreciated

Everything looks fine and the DVD drive doesn't need anything else with it. The motherboard will come with SATA cables so just plug er in and let er rip.

Your Mobo is upgradable from the chip and you wont really need to upgrade the memory either you can just add some more but get the same RAM when you do.

It looks like your build is cheaper than a dell would be and you are getting to build your own computer. Practice for later on if you decide to build yourself a HIGH end rig...:D:D

That should be a nice system for web surfing.

You wont need anything extra for the LG DVD drive as the motherboard will have the needed data cable.

The motherboard will support up to a Core 2 Duo, so it is upgradeable.

If you need an OS, you can get Vista for $89.99: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic SP1 32-bit

You wont need anything else to finish that build. Just bolt it all together, install an OS and you're off and running. :D

im gonna redo your build ok? just wait. The one you have now is kinda weak, we can manage to get you a decent one for $300

You could do this:
Amd Combo Build

$321. $285 after rebates

it looks good man =] great job at picking out parts so far... just keep looking around for deals =]

dont do this one if you dont need the video card

Well that build comes with 4GB of ram, a 9500gt, a 1TB hard drive. But yeah if thats too much go for the other build ;)

It seemed like a good deal.. For $285 you get alot of bang for buck no matter what your doing.
