Default firefox slow

like many people i have gone from IE to firefox but i find it quite a bit slower, ive done all that stuff in the "about:config" options but its still slow, is there a reason for that?

Slow? thats odd I found it to be at least 2x as fast as IE.

How many plugins or extentions do you have on FF?

the "about:config" ok ...your gonna have to tell me about ff now...lol...i just dl it and installed it havent' really messed w/ it tho :P

in the address bar type about : config (no spaces

this brings up FF configuration. You can tweak like mad to make this browser fit you.

i have one extension and thats it most of the time its...ok but its still slow images load really slow and i dont know why

If you loading normal webpages, such as MSN or something, than it will load the images last, while it loads text first.

I got a small amount of tweaks below:

network.http.pipelining, true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests, 8
network.http.max-connections, 48
network.http.max-connections-per-server, 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server, 8
