Default firefox is o.....sloooowwww

just recently, firefox has been very, very slow

sometimes taking up to a miniute just to load up our fine homepage

ne one else having this problems?

i cleard my DLs and private data....

Good, there's a slight difference. More of a difference if your computer isn't optimized for your specific connection already.

EDIT: If you don't want to increase server load so much, you don't have to put it on the max setting.

I have FF and it's working fine. My homepage is this...lol...and it loads up instantly.

Firefox uses more resources than lets say IE, but once its up, its pretty much the same speed for me. As long as you have the RAM for it, its a great browser.

ugh, turned out ot be utorrent using my interweb too much

as soon as i closed it down.....vrrroooommmmm....speed right up

Yeah, for some reason that I haven't figured out yet even when torrents aren't going very fast, it still seems to completely slow down your internet.

Just because your internet provider promises certain speeds doesn't mean your getting them. I stayed with my Uncle in Florida and I'm not sure what he had but his connection speed would vary like crazy; so a torrent program hogging it isn't going to help
