Default Finding out whats the most memory your computer can take

Hi there im new to this and this is my first thread
Rite i bought a computer from a mates shop about 4 months and it has done we well except i would like upgrade the memory to the most i can take so i was wondering is there any way to check the most it can take or any programs you can get to check

ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED

i always use this tool Memory upgrades from Crucial.com - About Crucial:Media Toolbox its very handy

Also what OS do you plan to run as it might only be able to support no more than 4gb

Speccy - System Information - Free Download or CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting will also show the same information without trying to sell you products. The Crucial scanner, as accurate as it is, is a sales tool. Not a diagnostic tool.

Also, be sure that you pick up Windows 7 Ultimate x64 if you intend to use 4GB or more of RAM.
