Default Find max ram supported?

Is there a tool i can use to find the max ram and processor speed supported by a motherboard .Before anyone says crucial scanner it a no go this is an old machine of a friends that isnt connected to the internet , it thas a floppy drive so any bootable programes are fine from floppy or cd

Use the manufacturers website and look it up in the online manual

motherboard manufacturer is soltek but how can i find out exact mobo name

it has three mem slots , two have 256 in do ya think it will support up to 768

look around on the motherboard and find the model number, the soltek website should tell you how to find the number you need somewhere.

both everest and cpu z said mobo was a soltek 8363/A-686A but it is an old mobo and the soltek website is rubbish
