File passwords?

I'm not sure if this is where to post this, but whatever.

Anyway, I have a dream diary on microsoft word that I want to put a lock on so only I can read it using a password or something. Is there any way I could go about doing that?

(I don't want to use the hidden file option, either)

all you have to do is go to save as then on the dialog box click the tools dropdown menue, then you need to click security obtions and then the password box will come up . once you have set a password press ok then save your file

you could set up user accounts with passwords if you share the computer but he could still read them if he knew your user account password
