Default file converting

does anyone know the easiest and simplist way to convert all file to dvd files. at the moment i am converting through power producer to put into vob files but the movie file is only 3.96 gig it says it is to big to fit to disk althogh it will convert to vob files.
i need a way just to write straight to dvd to playback if possible

what kind of files are they? And for automatic playback do you mean so that you can watch them. Or that they...??

some are mpeg files dvi etc and i want to put onto a dvd to watch on a stand alone dvd player
