Default Re: a few questions

before anyone can answer these questions
i have one

how big is your pocket book?
GPUs (video cards) can get very expensive very quick!
cpu duos are more popular for some reason
but theoreticly quads should be better
as for ram DDR2 1333 MHz will do fine
there hasnt been anything that can truely take advantage of DDR3
so just go with DDR2

If you think you can, you CAN! If you think you cant, your right.

For gaming go with a core2duo. Unless you do heavy multitasking with programs like photochop or do video editing, then get a quad. I recommend getting DDR2 800 for your RAM. As for the video card, that kinda depends on what games you are gonna be playing. I think the ATI 4850 is a great card right now.
